arrival and departure times

Check-in is from 4pm. There is a key safe at the property so you can arrive any time after that.

We request that guests check-out by 10am.

 

parking & bike storage

Off-street parking is on a gravelled area in the private enclosed garden across the road from the cottage. Whilst on-street parking is available we respectfully request that you park carefully with consideration for the local residents and walkers who also park on the road. Also, please don’t block the gate to the field as the farmer needs access. Thank you.

There is also a secure shed to store your bikes in whilst you’re here.

Garden

The property’s stunning garden is located across the road and features a vast lawn dotted with mature trees which cast welcome shade in the warmer months. The lawn gently slopes up to a pretty pergola, beneath which sits an outdoor table with seating for four, an idyllic setting for al fresco dining.

Please note that the garden is not secure for children or a dog.

general provisions supplied

On arrival you will find a welcome gift along with a small supply of tea, coffee and sugar and 0.5 litre of milk in the fridge. There is also a Nespresso VertuoPlus coffee machine with some pods provided.

You’ll also find a small quantity of the following items (although not enough for the entire duration of your stay):

  • Bin bags, J clothes and scourers
  • Washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets
  • Salt and pepper
  • Hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, bubble bath and shower gel
  • Toilet roll
      Beds, linen & towels

      The master bedroom on the second floor has a double bed, plus there are two single beds in the first floor bedroom.

      Bed linen and towels are provided.

      Bathroom

      Boundary Cottage has one family bathroom located on the first floor. It has a bath with a handheld shower attachment as well as a walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail.

      heating, fuel & logs

      The property has an Air Source Heat Pump central heating system.

      Electricity is included in the rental price. An initial basket of logs is provided for the wood burning stove and further log supplies can be purchased locally.

      Facilities & equipment

      In addition to the facilities and equipment provided as detailed on the The Cottage page, Boundary Cottage also has:

      Food & Supplies

      Luxury holiday cottage in the Cotswolds | Boundary CottageThere are many small food retailers on Chipping Campden’s High Street, including a Co-op general store, a greengrocer, butcher, vintner and cheesemonger, artisan bakery and several delicatessens. Honeybourne also has a Co-op with much easier parking which is located opposite the train station.

      We also recommend Broadway Deli, Broadway and Collins of Broadway Butchers, a traditional family butchers stocking locally sourced meats, poultry, sausages, bacon, meat pies and award-winning pork pies.

      services

      Free Gigaclear wireless internet access is available throughout Boundary Cottage and there is a Smart TV.

      Mobile phone signal strength varies inside the property depending on your provider, but reception is generally OK outside. Nb. there is no landline telephone at Boundary Cottage. 

      children & babies

      Regrettably, Boundary Cottage does not accept children under the age of five years.

      The property’s garden is located across the road, so please ensure that children are supervised outside at all times.

      your safety

      At Boundary Cottage, we take our guests’ safety very seriously. So in addition to the procedures explained in our Covid-19 policy the property is fitted with a CO detector and smoke alarms. It also has a first aid kit, fire blanket and fire extinguisher.

      occupancy

      As detailed in our terms and conditions, we accept a maximum of four guests at Boundary Cottage – including the grounds. We ask that you get in touch prior to booking if you would like to discuss this further.

      housekeeping

      If you book to stay for longer than nine nights, a mid-stay clean – including bed linen and towel change – may be included in the price. Please do check with us to confirm.

      We are happy to discuss additional housekeeping services if required.

      pets

      One well-behaved dog is welcome at Boundary Cottage.

      We only allow one well behaved dog at Boundary Cottage, no other kinds of pets. The dog has to be booked in and paid for. (£25 a dog, per stay). We may allow more dogs to stay but this must be agreed in writing before arrival. In order to maintain Boundary Cottage for everyone to enjoy, it is necessary that guests bringing dog(s) agree to these conditions.

      Additional Terms and Condition for guests bringing their dog(s)

      You must obey the Countryside Code and keep your dog(s) under close control at all times for their own safety as well as for the benefit of other dog owners and livestock. 

      Poop patrol! When taking your dog(s) for a walk, please pick up after them including in Boundary Cottage’s garden.

      When you bring a muddy dog back from a walk, please clean them off using the outside tap and the coloured canine towels provided. On no account use the white towels provided for human use.

      Your dog(s) must not be left alone with free run of the property. If you have a puppy please take extra care. They will chew the furniture or soft furnishings here in our 4-star cottage! Maintaining our grading is key to our business and we can’t always repair things, it has to be replaced, at your expense. We provide a guide of dog friendly pubs and restaurants and places to visit so that your dog can remain with you. The garden is NOT fully enclosed so please be careful. 

      Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms but are allowed on the sofas provided that you use the throws provided and keep the dog from contact with the soft furnishings. We can provide a stair gate in the cottage which will help control where the dog(s) can wander in the cottage. 

      We regret that dogs that bark continuously are not allowed at Boundary Cottage. They will disturb the neighbour.

      Please thoroughly clean the cottage, including dog hair from rugs, before you leave; if properties require additional cleaning or dogs have been in the bedrooms, or an uncovered sofa, we will charge a £50 fee to cover the cost. 

      no smoking

      Please note that smoking and vaping is NOT permitted throughout the property.

      hen, stag and other same sex groups

      Same sex family groups are very welcome to stay at Boundary Cottage.

      Unfortunately we do not accept bookings for Hen, Stag and other same sex groups. 

      corporate & commercial bookings

      We regret that Boundary Cottage does not accept corporate, work-related or commercial bookings of any kind.
